Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) are generally used for remote monitoring and control of small or large scale systems. It is a versatile system that can be configured to many different types of enterprises and industries. SCADA allows operators to interact and communicate with various devices and machines that are required in the work process. Receiving and sending information at the same time, SCADA enables operators’ greater visibility over the project. Gas detection hardware devices could also be configured into the SCADA framework and alerts its users as to any gas leaks within the vicinity of the detectors.
